World Health Organization Workshop on Plague Vaccine Evaluation

Dr. Lucy Ward, Senior Scientist for the Joint Vaccine Acquisition Program (JVAP) product management office under the Joint Project Manager for Medical Countermeasure Systems (JPM-MCS) participated in a panel discussion on April 23, 2018 on JVAP's advanced development of a vaccine to protect against plague. The World Health Organization hosted the Workshop on Plague Vaccine Evaluation in Paris, France to discuss recent trends in plague vaccine development. JVAP develops, produces, and fields Food and Drug Administration-licensed biological defense vaccines. JPM-MCS is one of the five JPMs under the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Defense.

In alignment with Department of Defense (DoD) Instruction 5400.17 and recent Executive Orders issued by the President, the U.S. Army has reviewed and adjusted its social media content to ensure compliance with DoD policies and priorities. As a result, certain posts have been removed, are in a process of being removed or modified to maintain consistency with federal guidance and uphold the integrity of our official communication channels. Content will be archived in accordance with DA PAM 25–403.
